House Fire in Trigg County Claims One Life

(Mayfield, Ky) - KSP Post 1 in Mayfield received a call of a house fire at 4146 Canton Road in Trigg County.

Upon arriving at the scene, it was determined that there was a possible victim inside the residence. A witness at the scene advised that they had seen a subject, that had exited the residence, go back inside to retrieve some personal items, and that they had not been seen since.

After the fire was extinguished, a search of the structure was conducted. A victim was located inside the house. Positive identification has not been made, but an autopsy is going to be conducted.

The investigation is continuing.
