(Columbia, KY) - On November 27, 2005, around 1550 hours, Trooper Jeremy Johnson and Deputies from the Russell County Sheriff's Department responded to a complaint 6 miles north of Russell Springs on the Lafavers Road in reference to an individual who was causing a disturbance and possibly under the influence of an unknown substance.

Upon Trooper Johnson's arrival, he discovered that Larry Copley had assaulted an elderly male and had fled into a wooded area. Trooper Johnson searched the woods and located Larry Copley, who was being restrained by 3 friends and family members. Larry Copley was placed under arrest and handcuffed.
