Death Investigation in Cumberland County, KY

(Columbia, KY.) - Trooper Hunt and The Cumberland County Coroner, assisted by a social worker from Protection and Permanency are investigating the death of a 6 week old infant, Devin Lee Polston on Cary Lane in Burkesville.

The father had the infant lying on his chest, both went to sleep, when the father awoke around 11:00 am the child was between himself and the couch and was not breathing.

EMS transported the victim to Cumberland County Hospital, CPR was performed but the infant never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The investigation continues, however no foul play is suspected.
