Escaped Inmate from Adair County Jail is Located

(Columbia, KY.) - Kentucky State Troopers from the Columbia post along with the Columbia Police Department responded to a report of an escaped inmate from the Adair County Regional Jail at about 9:00 PM on Sunday.

A state police K-9 unit responded to the scene and after a 30-minute search of the Hudson Street area, 26 year old Corey Haney was located in a field. Mr. Haney was lodged back in the Adair County Region Jail and charged with Escape in the Second Degree.

Mr. Haney was being held in the jail prior to his escape for a parole violation.
