Shooting Investigation in Monroe County, KY

(Columbia, KY.) - Kentucky State Police received a report of a shooting at the residence of Jose Sanchez, Date of Birth 10/15/70, at 6486 Celina Road, 6 miles south of Tompkinsville.

Jose Sanchez was shot twice, once in each kneecap. Units conducted a traffic stop, locating Vicente Bautista, Date of Birth 03/27/70, of Morristown TN. Mr. Bautista confessed to shooting Mr. Sanchez. Mr. Bautista was charged with Assault 1st and lodged in the Monroe County Jail.
