KSP Post 14 Investigating A Robbery of People Security Bank of Blaine, KY
(Ashland, KY) - The Kentucky State Police in Ashland are investigating a Robbery of the People Security Bank of Blaine Kentucky.
At approximately 8:00 am this morning an unknown male entered the People Security Bank wearing a mask. Armed with a handgun, he forced the Teller to give him an undisclosed amount of Cash. He then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. At approximately 8:42 am Deputy Rick May of the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department and Trooper Craig Morella (KSP) stopped a suspicious vehicle on School House Road near Blaine, Ky. Through investigation it was discovered that the Driver, Chester Mollett 54 yoa., was indeed the man who robbed the Bank. Trooper Morella and Deputy May recovered the handgun and the cash. Mr. Mollett of Louisa, Ky. was arrested and transported to the Johnson County Detention Center. Details of the Charge(s) filed will follow at a later time. The incident is still under investigation by Detective Gary Lafferty of the KSP Post 14 Ashland, Ky.
