Thanksgiving Holiday Period

As in the past, Post 14 will continue its commitment to reducing traffic fatalities and injury collisions during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our efforts will include Traffic Safety Checkpoints, Directed Patrol and Speed Details throughout our post district, which is comprised of the following counties: Boyd, Lawrence, Greenup and Carter. To facilitate our goal we will concentrate our enforcement efforts on speed, seatbelt, child restraint and DUI related offenses. The holiday period will commence at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 and remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2005.

The Kentucky State Police Post 14 has extended and invitation to join us in conducting our Traffic Checkpoints and Speed Details to the following agencies: local Sheriff's Departments, City Police Departments, and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement. Hopefully with our coordinated efforts this will be a safe holiday for all those traveling on Kentucky's Highways!
