Post 14 Investigating a Burglary, Leads to Arrests

Kentucky State Police in Ashland are investigating a burglary that occurred at Fraley Baseball field in Summit, Ky yesterday evening (1/9/05).
KSP received a call of a burglary in progress at the baseball field. Trooper Aaron Martin responded and upon arrival, observed two vehicles leaving the parking lot of Fraley field. Trooper Martin stopped both vehicles and ordered both drivers to exit. Upon a search of the vehicles and concession stand, Trooper Martin determined a burglary had occurred. Both were subsequently arrested and charged with burglary 3rd degree. Various items were located in the suspect's vehicles including a chest size freezer, cash register, a small pepsi cooler, and a coffee pot.
Both subjects were processed and the juvenile was placed in the juvenile detention facility on Roberts drive. The adult (James Stephens Jr.) was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
