Stolen Property Recovered

(Hazard, KY) - The Kentucky State Police in Hazard report that on 11-27-2004, 41 year old Denver E. (Butch) Couch Jr. was arrested in reference to an ongoing investigation involving the recovery of stolen property from several states. Denver (Butch) Couch was charged with eight (8) counts of Receiving Stolen Property, with several other charges and arrests pending. He was lodged in the Perry County Detention Center. Since 11-23-04, the following items have been recovered by Detective John Pratt and the HIDTA Task Force:

  2. 2002 Trail King Trailer-Semi
  3. 2004 Caterpillar 226B Skid Steer
  4. 2004 Caterpillar 226B Skid Steer
  5. 2004 Caterpillar 257B Skid Steer
  6. 2004 Caterpillar 257B Skid Steer
  7. 2004 Caterpillar 287 Skid Steer
  8. 2004 Caterpillar 305 CR Excavator
  9. 2001 Chevrolet 2500 Pickup with tool bed
  10. 1989 International Car Transporter Truck
  11. 1999 Kubota KX 91-2 Excavator
  12. 1997 Ford F-350 XLT Dually
  13. 1996 Peterbilt Flatbed Truck
  14. 2001 Ditch Witch with backhoe attachment
  15. 1988 Volvo Semi with trailer
  16. 1998 Mack Dump Truck
  17. Three (3) flatbed car trailers
  18. 2002 Kenworth Semi Truck
  19. 2004 New Holland Farm Tractor

The recovered property has a value of approximately $895,000.00. Detective John Pratt is continuing the investigation.
