Fatal Collision Involving a Stolen Vehicle

The victim of the crash has been identified. The operator of Unit #1 has been identified as Arthur T. Clark of Lexington, KY.

(Frankfort, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 12- Frankfort is investigating a fatal collision involving a stolen vehicle. On Saturday, May 7, 2005, a fatal collision involving the stolen vehicle occurred on I-64 at the 53 mile marker in Franklin County. Unit #1 was westbound on I-64 when the driver lost control and struck a rock wall. The operator was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was air lifted to UK Hospital in Lexington. The driver was pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner Office.

On May 7, 2005 the vehicle involved in the fatal collision was reported stolen to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Division of Police. Investigation continuing.
