Two Arrested in Scott County Pursuit

(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky State Police respond to a complaint of a possible drunk driver in a white 1996 Ford pickup southbound on I-75. The vehicle was located at the 126 mile marker on I-75. The driver exited on to Cherry Blossom Way in Georgetown KY. A Trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for an equipment violation and the driver refused to stop.
The driver Dustin W. Griffith traveled south on I-75 to I-64 West at speeds, as fast as 105 miles per hour eluding police. The driver swerved in front of a tractor and trailer striking it and losing control. The eluding vehicle spun into the median and overturned several times. The vehicle came to final rest on its top. A juvenile in the vehicle was released to her parents. A male passenger Jonathan K. Clark was arrested for Alcohol Intoxication and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor. He was lodged in the Scott Co. Jail.
The driver Dustin W. Griffith was flown to the UK Hospital. Criminal charges are pending against the driver. The pursuit covered fourteen miles through Scott, Fayette and Woodford counties. Investigation continues.
