Robbery Investigation in Laurel County, KY

(LONDON, KY) - On Friday October 28, 2005 at approximately 3:00 A.M. Kentucky State Police at London was notified of a robbery at Country Folks Restaurant located on US-25 approximately 1 mile north of London.

Kentucky State Police Detective Don Trosper was dispatched to the scene and, upon his arrival witnesses told him that a male subject armed with a handgun had entered the restaurant wearing a mask and, demanded money. The male took an un-disclosed amount of money and, then fled the scene on foot. Detective Trosper interviewed witnesses at the scene and, searched the neighboring area around the business but was unsuccessful in locating the robber.

This case remains open pending further investigation by Detective Don Trosper and, the Kentucky State Police. Assisting at the scene was Trooper Chuck Johnson and, the Laurel County Sheriffs Department.
