Burglary Arrest In Laurel County

(LONDON, KY) - On Wednesday 08-24-2005 at approximately 05:00HRS (5 a.m.) the Kentucky State Police, while investigating an audible alarm on US 25 south of London, discovered a burglary had occurred at the London/Corbin Medical Clinic.

With the assistance of the Laurel County Sheriff's office, authorities discovered that two more businesses' had been burglarized. While investigating these burglaries, the Corbin City Police received a call of and, investigated an alarm at the Belk's store in the Tri-County Shopping Center in Knox County, KY. While checking the store, Corbin Police sighted a vehicle driving away from the area without any headlights on. Upon stopping the vehicle, items taken from the Laurel County Burglaries were discovered inside.

Arrested and charged with the Laurel County Burglaries were James Lee Rose, 18 of Keavy, KY and a male juvenile.

Information received during interviews with the two subjects resulted in additional charges of Burglary and, Arson being taken against the two. The additional charges were for prior incidents that had occurred in Laurel and Knox Counties. James Lee Rose was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center and, the juvenile was detained in a juvenile facility.

Detective Don Trosper is the lead investigator and is being assisted by Trooper Don Sivils, Laurel County Sheriff's Department and, the Corbin City Police Department.
