Infant Missing - Returned Safely in Pulaski County

(London, KY) - On Sunday, May 29, 2005 Kentucky Sate Police was notified of a possible child abduction. Kentucky State Police Trooper Shawn Dixon was dispatched to the scene where he spoke with Crystal Pond who was alleging that her 2-month-old child had been released to Brandy Bowman who was supposed to baby-sit until Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Pond told Troopers that she had not seen or heard from Brandy Bowman since her departure on Friday.

The infant child was returned home to the mother by Brandy Bowman who told the mother and, authorities that her car had broken down and, she had no way to call and, let the mother know she would be unable to return the child Sunday. After further investigation was conducted by the Pulaski County major crimes task force Brandy Bowman was charged with custodial interference (A felony).

The case remains open pending further investigation.
