D.U.I. Stop Leads To Shoplifting Arrest in Clay County

(London, KY) - On Tuesday, February 22, 2005 Kentucky State Police Trooper Nick Metcalf stopped a 1993 Buick for suspected DUI. The driver of the vehicle Rhonda G. Marcum age 50 of London was charged with DUI and, other traffic violations. A passenger in the vehicle Billy D. Smith age 28 of Gooserock was charged with public intoxication and, four (4) counts of shoplifting after a investigation revealed he had been to approximately four (4) different Dollar General Stores taking:

1. 74 bottles of assorted medication
2. 14 cigarette lighters
3. 7 boxes of Neosporin
4. 6 DVD's
5. 2 CD players
