Components Of A Methamphetamine Lab Discovered After Vehicle Stop in Clay County

(LONDON, KY) - On Saturday February 5, 2005 Kentucky State Police Trooper Nick Metcalf stopped a 1990 silver Toyota on KY 2000 approximately 14 miles south of Manchester for suspicion of DUI. After a brief roadside investigation, Trooper Metcalf discovered numerous components used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Jeremy G. Owens, a passenger, was charged with unlawful possession of meth precursors 1st and, unlawful transaction with a minor. There were two juveniles in the vehicle with Mr. Owens. The driver a juvenile was charged with DUI and, also unlawful possession of meth precursors 1st and, numerous traffic violations. A female juvenile passenger was charged with public intoxication and, also unlawful possession of meth precursors 1st.
The investigation will be continuing by Kentucky State Police Trooper Nick Metcalf.
