Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder Arrest (3 Counts)

(Richmond, KY) - On 12-2-2004 at 1500 hours, the Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond, arrested Ronnie Gay Cornett of Danville for 3 counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder. The KSP investigation revealed that Mr. Cornett intentionally took substantial steps in a course of conduct that would have culminated in the murders of his estranged wife, Kathleen Cornett, her attorney, Eileen O'Brian, and Family Court Judge Bruce Petrie. Mr. Cornett was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center. Mr. Cornett was also charged with Contempt of Court on an outstanding warrant.

The case remains under investigation by Detective Monte Owens.
