Escapee Brian Rose Captured

An image of the suspect(Falmouth, KY) - On February 25, 2004 Troopers from Post 6, aided by members of the Pendleton County Sheriff's Office, located and arrested escapee Brian J. Rose.

Rose was located at 800 Woodson in Falmouth after an anonymous telephone tip was received By the Sheriff's Office. The tip was taken by Deputy Louis Jones who immediately notified the Kentucky State Police and other Sheriff's Deputies.

Deputy Jones along with Deputy Allen and Troopers J. Fieger and S. Stephens surrounded 800 Woodson. The escapee was seen inside the residence when the front door was opened in answer to Trooper Fieger's knock.

The residence occupant, June Cooper, allowed the Deputies and Troopers into her residence where they found the escapee hiding between a mattress and box springs in a back bedroom.

The escapee was arrested after a brief struggle. He was charged with an outstanding warrant for Escape 1st Degree.

The warrant was obtained by Trooper Fieger after Rose had fled from the custody of the Pendleton County Jailers at the Courthouse on February 3, 2004.

Rose was lodged in the Grant County Jail.
