Felony Drug Arrest in Logan County, KY

(Bowling Green, KY) - KSP Bowling Green received an anonymous tip advising methamphetamine was being manufactured at the Richard Harris residence. When Trooper Holbrook responded to the scene a chemical odor was detected from the residence. Trooper Thornberry contacted the occupant gaining entry, when he noticed articles used to manufacture methamphetamine. Trooper Holbrook located an lp cylinder with ammonia on the back porch.
A search warrant was obtained and executed by officers from KSP and the Logan County Sheriff's Dept. The search produced approximately 5.5 grams of suspected meth, 4 thousand dollars cash and several weapons. Mr. Harris was not home at the time, however he was located at a local business in Bowling Green KY.
Mr. Harris was charged with the following offenses, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription drug not in proper container. He was in possession of one thousand dollars at the time of his arrest.
The incident is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
