Felony Arrest in Hart County

Kenneth D. Dennis of Munfordville was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Wanton Endangerment and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon stemming from an incident on Saturday, May 29th on I-65 where he is alleged to have been pursuing / chasing Beverly D. Davis (girlfriend) north on I-65. Ms. Davis saw a State Trooper (Sgt. Shannon West) on a traffic stop on the southbound side of the interstate near the Munfordville Exit. In apparent desperation, she drove through the median, and across the southbound lanes of I-65 to the location of the trooper pleading for help. She handed the trooper some rifle cartridges she allegedly unloaded from a rifle, which she claimed Dennis threatened to shoot her with, if she tried to leave a residence allegedly shared by the two. While speaking with the trooper, Dennis (apparently north of their location) came back and stopped behind the trooper. He was detained and subsequently arrested when it was discovered he was in violation of a domestic violence protection order. He was charged with the above listed offenses, as a result of a state police investigation surrounding the incident. He is currently lodged in the Hart County Jail on a $100,000 cash bail.
