Death Investigation in Madisonville, KY

Date of News Release: 11/8/2004

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - On November 7, 2004 at approximately 1530 hours, the Kentucky State Police responded to a call on Calumet Drive reference an accident involving a farm tractor.

William F. Martin age 57 of Madisonville, KY was operating a medium-size farm tractor dragging a log up a hill when the front end of the tractor rose off the ground. The tractor flipped on top of Mr. Martin causing his death.

Hopkins County Deputy Coroner Dennis Mayfield pronounced Mr. Martin dead at the scene.

The case remains under investigation by Detective Tim Bailey. Tpr. Lonnie Kavanaugh, the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office, Nebo Rescue, the Manitou Volunteer Fire Department and the Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted Detective Bailey.
