Marijuana Bust in Beulah, KY

Beulah, KY (Hopkins County) - On June 28, 2004 at approximately 1530 hours, officers from the Kentucky State Police and the Dawson Springs Police Department Canine executed a search warrant at a residence on Rabbit Ridge Road. The Kentucky State Police obtained the search warrant as a result of a month-long investigation. Officers recovered approximately one and a half pounds of processed marijuana. Also recovered was a controlled substance, various items of drug paraphernalia, and cash. Michael R. Cotton age 53 of Nebo, KY was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center. He was charged with trafficking marijuana < 8oz. 2nd or > offense (3 counts), trafficking marijuana 8 oz. to < 5 lbs. 1st offense, possession drug paraphernalia 2nd or > offense, and possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense. The Kentucky State Police are continuing the investigation.
