Muhlenberg County Rape Investigation

Sacramento, KY - On Sunday, March 14, 2004 at approximately 0104 hours, the Kentucky State Police Madisonville Post received a call from Muhlenberg County Central Dispatch reference a sexual assault.

Several KSP units responded to the scene located on Shanks Lane in Sacramento, KY. Officers learned that the victim was at her residence when an unknown male subject knocked on the door.

When the victim answered the door, the suspect grabbed her and forced her outside. Once outside, the suspect attacked and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim was knocked unconscious. After regaining consciousness, the victim was able to return to her residence and contact authorities.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. At this time, no other information is available.

The investigation is continuing by Detective Tim Bailey and the Kentucky State Police.
