Clandestine Lab Arrests in Hickman County, KY

(Mayfield, KY) - Acting on an anonymous tip, troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 1, Mayfield, Kentucky State Police West Drug Enforcement, and the Hickman County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence at 180 Wilson Hill Road in Hickman County.
When officers arrived suspects refused to come to the door and began destroying evidence. Once officers made entry there was an active methamphetamine lab discovered at the residence.
Four suspects (Robert G. Sams, Rita F. Carter, Carol L. Dick & Stephen C. Moore) were arrested at the residence and charged by both State Police and Hickman County Sheriffs Office. Arrests were made without incident.
All four suspects were charged with the following:
- Trafficking in a controled substance 1st degree ( meth)
- Manufacturing methamphetamines 1st degree
- Possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with intent to manufacture methamphetamines.
The Hickman County Sheriffs office charged the individuals with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernaila.
