Bank Robbery in Salem, KY - KSP Seeks Information

(SALEM, KY.) On December 7, 2004 at 1:25pm, Kentucky State Police received a 911 call from Farmers Bank and Trust Company on West Main Street in Salem reporting a bank robbery.

Bank Officials stated a white male entered the bank, pointed a gun at the teller and demanded money. The suspect is described as tall and thin, wearing tan carhart overalls, a camouflage mask, and was carrying a multi-colored pillowcase. The suspect took an undetermined amount of money and left on foot traveling West toward the Pit-Stop Convenient Mart.

State police from Post One and Post Two, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Sheriff's Departments from Livingston and Crittenden County, and a K-9 unit from the McCracken County Sheriff's Department are searching the area. The FBI is assisting Kentucky State Police with the investigation.
