Suspect at Large for Shooting at a McCracken County DES Auxiliary Police Officer

(West Padicah, KY) On 11-8-04 Kentucky State Police Investigators were requested to respond to an incident where someone shot at a McCracken County DES Auxiliary Police Officer.
At approximately 6:00 PM., Officer Randy Fondaw was patrolling the Wildlife Management area near USEC when an unknown person fired two shots from a shotgun into the driver's door of his marked patrol car. No pellets from the blast penetrated the door and Officer Fondaw was not hit.
Trooper Turnbow and his K-9 (Aron) responded to the scene and assisted in tracking the suspect approximately one-half mile to the main road where he lost scent of the track.
