Conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance 1st Degree (Cocaine) Arrest

(Hickory, KY) - On 10/21/04, at 10:52 AM, a maintenance man from the Indian Hills Apartment Building in Hickman, KY called 911 reporting that he had found a large quantity of marijuana in one of the apartment buildings. The caller also stated that he had seen a black male running from the apartments with the marijuana.

The Fulton County Sheriffs Office and Hickman City Police Department arrived prior to KSP Detective Mike Williams arrival. The Fulton County Detention Center's tracking canine, Zepaco, located Andre Goss in the woods, a short distance from the Indian Hills Apartment building. A search of the area surrounding Goss revealed 13.2 grams of cocaine, packaged in 5 individually wrapped bags. A search of the suspect's apartment building revealed 1.1 pounds of marijuana, packaged in 17 individual bags, that Mr. Goss had attempted to dispose of. The apartment was also occupied by Wendy Bowlin. Written consent to search the apartment was obtained from Ms. Bowlin, and the search revealed digital scales and other items of drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Goss was charged with conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance 1st Degree (cocaine), conspiracy to traffic in marijuana more than 8 ounces, possession of drug paraphernalia, and prescription controlled substance not in original container.

Ms. Bowlin was charged with conspiracy to traffic in marijuana more than 8 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both subjects are lodged in the Fulton County Detention Center.

These arrests were the result of a joint investigation by KSP Detective Mike Williams, Fulton County Sheriffs Office, Fulton County Detention Center, and Hickman City Police Department.

The investigation continues by the Kentucky State Police.
