KSP Post 1 Investigate Bomb Threat at Pella Corporation

(Murray KY) - Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 1 Mayfield responded to the Pella Corporation, north of here, on Monday August 9th to a report of a possible bomb threat. A plant supervisor alerted State Police after receiving a phone call stating that a bomb had been placed in the plant. After a search of the plant by Trooper Trent Weaver, Canine Handler Trooper Mike Turnbow, and Canine Shadow no explosive devices were located. Plant officials evacuated the facility while emergency service crews from Calloway County were on stand by. Trooper Weaver was assisted on scene by the Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Fire Rescue, Ambulance Service, and Murray State University Public Safety. No one was injured during the incident. Anyone with information about the bomb threat is asked to call Trooper Weaver, Kentucky State Police Post 1 Mayfield, at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state).
