(Kentucky State Penitentiary)- Stemming from information uncovered during an investigation by the Internal Affairs division of the Kentucky State Penitentiary, corrections officer Lance Matthews (Fredonia) was charged with one count of accepting a bribe and one count promoting contraband 1st degree. In early July, according to the ongoing investigation, Matthews allegedly accepted a bribe from a third party on behalf of an inmate at the penitentiary.
