Attempted Kidnapping near the Mayfield area

(Mayfield, KY)The Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield is investigating an attempted kidnapping incident that occurred Friday night in the Mayfield area. At approximately 7:00 PM, an unidentified subject attempted to lure a 6 year-old female into his vehicle. The suspect was described as being between the ages of 40-45 years old. He is a white male, approximately 5'10", 200 lbs., with black and gray hair. He also possibly has some type of facial hair. The suspect was last seen driving a late 1980's Chevrolet Corsica, gray in color, that is missing the front driver's side hubcap. Anyone that locates this vehicle or someone that closely meets this description is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at (270) 856-3721 or 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state). The investigation continues by Detective Jamie Mills with the Kentucky State Police.
