Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree

(Mayfield, KY) - A vehicle was observed with no headlights on at the intersection of state highway 97 and DR Melvin Road. At that time troopers Trevor Pervine and Russell Boyd initiated a traffic stop. After contact was made with the subjects in the vehicle consent to search the vehicle was given. After the search was conducted, 16 packs of ephedrine, 5 containers of methamphetamines, 1 bag of marijuana, 2 knives, 2 lortabs, a package of lithium batteries and various drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle and on their persons. At that time Tony Evans and Glynn Coltharp were arrested. Tony Evans was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance 2nd Degree. Glynn ColTharp was charged with possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Meth), and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. The subjects were lodged in the Graves county jail. A criminal case was opened for manufacture of methamphetamines that is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
