5 New Troopers to KSP Post 1

(HICKORY, KY.) On June 26,2004, Class No. 82 graduated from the Kentucky State Police Academy in Frankfort. Five of the fifty-one graduates have been assigned to the Mayfield Post.
Trooper David Archer, 25, is a native of Paducah, KY and will be assigned to Ballard County. Archer attended Eastern Kentucky University and was a Deputy Sheriff in McCracken County before joining the Kentucky State Police.
Trooper Dean A. Patterson, 22, is a native of Mayfield, KY and will be assigned to Graves County. Patterson graduated from West Kentucky Technical Community College with an Associates Degree in Arts. Patterson was a dispatcher at Post One for two years before being accepted as a Kentucky State Police Cadet.
Trevor Pervine, 23, is a native of Murray, KY and will be assigned to Graves, County. Pervine graduated from Murray State University with a Major in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Business Administration.
Trooper Bradley P. Ramsey, 23, is a native of Madisonville, KY and will be assigned to Livingston County. Ramsey attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from Madisonville Community College with an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement.
Trooper Mark E. Sallin, 32, is a native of Murray, KY and will be assigned to Graves County. Sallin graduated from Murray State University with a Major in Geography and a Minor in Geology. Sallin also served in the United States Marine Corps for six years and is currently a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard. While serving in the Marine Crops, Sallin was awarded various awards and medals including the Navy Achievement Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
