Arrest Made for the Murder of Sharon Ray

(TILINE, KY.) On June 30, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. Kentucky State Police Detectives arrested Robert Earl Gaines for the murder of Sharon Ray. Gaines, 41, of Tiline is accused of shooting Sharon Ray and putting her body in an abandoned well on Ostle Loop in Livingston County. Ray, 38, was last seen on April 2, 2004. In addition to the Murder charge, Gaines is being charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Abuse of a Corpse. Gaines is lodged in the Livingston County Jail. The investigation is continuing by Detective Janet Gabbard.
