Bernice Patrick called Louisa 911 around 2015 hours reporting somone had shot her while she stepped out from her residence into a field near her house. Patrick advised Lawrence County Sheriff's office she had stepped out from her house to investigate a noise. She told authorities she was armed with a firearm and shot once in the air. She then reported someone shot her in the leg. Patrick reported going back inside her house and called authorities an hour later. The Kentucky State Police responded later and investigated the scene.
