Drug Arrest and Seizure in Flatwoods, KY

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland is investigating a large drug seizure in the Flatwoods area after receiving information of illegal drug trafficking from a residence on Rivendale road. Troopers searched the residence of Eliobardo Chavira after receiving this information and discovered a large quanity of marijuana hidden inside of his apartment. Chavira was taken into custody and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center. Trooper Shawn Podunavac and his K-9 "Roky" from Special Operations were also used in the search.

The investigation is continuing by SGT Louie Podunavac.
