Shooting Incident Involving KSP Troopers

Date of News Release: 11/07/2004

(Ashland, KY) - Troopers from the Kentucky State Police in Ashland were involved in a fatal shooting in the Rush area on KY 854 early this evening around 1800 hours.

An armed male subject was fatally shot by officers after responding to a disturbance call. No troopers were injured in the incident and the victims name is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

Names of the troopers involved in the shooting will be released at a later time.
