Update to Murder Investigation of an Infant (10/27/04)

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland are continuing to investigate the death of an infant located in an abandoned house on Stinson Road in Carter County, Ky.

The State Medical examiners office conducted an autopsy and determined the infant was a newborn and had been deceased for at least a month. An exact cause of death has not been determined. KSP has received numerous tips from the public and are actively investigating all information received.

KSP authorities are still requesting any information from the public concerning the death of "Baby Jane Doe". Callers may remain anonymous and can call 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or 606-928-6421.
