Drug Seizure in Boyd County

(Ashland, KY) -Kentucky State Police in Ashland is investigating a large drug seizure which resulted in the arrest of three Huntington, WV residents early Tuesday morning. KSP troopers from Ashland Post conducted a traffic stop on the suspects vehicle on US 23 in Catlettsburg, Ky around 5 am. The driver, Craig Murphy was subsequently arrested for DUI, and after a search of the vehicle, officers seized over 50 grams of crack-cocaine from the vehicle. The other two passengers (Borchert and Traylor) were also charged in the investigation with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense.
