Warning to Frankfort/Franklin County Residences

(Frankfort, KY) - Unknown persons posing as electric company workers have burglarized a Franklin County residence. One subject identified himself as an employee with the electric company while the other subject removed property from the victim's residence.

These subjects were driving a 90's model Jeep Cherokee. One of the subjects is described as a white male slender build in his 30's wearing a vest and a hat.

Kentucky State Police want to warn and alert citizens to be on the look out for persons who are falsely representing themselves as utility workers. Unknown subjects are attempting to gain entry into residences.

Utilities company employees that show up at your residence to repair something should have proper ID and a vehicle properly marked with the company name. Do not hesitate to contact utility companies to verify their identity.

Anyone with information about persons posing as utility employees are asked to call Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort at 502-227-2221.
