Arson 2nd Degree at Tailwater Road Spillway/Pinic Area at Taylorsville Lake

(Frankfort, KY) - At 05:25 Hrs Thursday 06-03-04 a structure fire was reported at the Tailwater Road Spillway/Picnic Area at Taylorsville Lake State Park. The Taylorsville/Spencer County Fire Department responded to the scene and found that the property involved was the bathroom near the spillway.

The concrete and wooden structure received heavy damage from the fire along with three trash receptacles also located near the bathroom. Damage was estimated at $6,000.00.

Anyone with information concerning this fire is asked to call the Kentucky Arson Hotline at 1-800-27-ARSON (1-800-272-7766). The Kentucky Arson Hotline will pay up to $1,000.00 leading to the arrest and indictment of an arsonist.
