Donations Received for Shop with A Cop Programs

(LONDON, KY) - On Tuesday, October 12, 2004 AMVETS Post 116 from Corbin, Kentucky presented Kentucky State Police Trooper Craig Sutton and Laurel County Sheriff Deputy Don Wattenberger each a check for $2,000.00 towards each of their Shop with a Cop Programs.

The Kentucky State Police Professional Association District 11 and the Laurel County Sheriff Department each take children which are selected by recommendation only to participate in the Shop with a Cop Program which is held each year before Christmas. In order to participate the child must be selected or recommended by officers and through school resource officers. The Laurel County Sheriff Department take children which are selected through out Laurel County. The Kentucky State Police Professional Association District 11 take children, which are, selected throughout the 7 counties which are covered by the Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London.
