Robbery Investigation in McCreary County

(LONDON, KY) - On Sunday, August 08, 2004 at approximately 1:50 the Kentucky State Police in London received the report of a Robbery on Alum Road approximately 1 miles north of Whitley City in McCreary County. According to the investigation a Twila D. Marcum approached an elderly male at his residence asking to use his phone, as he turned his back she took his wallet fleeing the scene in a black ford pickup.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. Trooper Craig Reed arrested Twila D. Marcum age 25 of Revelo, Kentucky charging her with Robbery 2nd Degree and lodging her in the Whitley County Detention Center in Williamsburg.

The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Trooper Reed is continuing the investigation.
