Death Investigation in Clay County

Date of News Release: 8/8/2004

(LONDON, KY) - On August 7, 2004, at approximately 7:40 p.m. the body of Angela C. Wagers age 27 of Flat Lick, Kentucky was found lying in a creek off KY 149 also known as Lockards Creek by a friend she had been staying with in Clay County. Clay County EMS responded to the scene and upon arriving contacted the Clay County Coroner Jim Trosper who pronounced Angela C. Wagers dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation does not suspect foul play in the death at this time. An autopsy was scheduled for today Sunday, August 8, 2004 results are pending.

Kentucky State Police Detective John Yates is conducting the investigation. Assisting at the scene were Sergeant Chris Thompson, Trooper Michelle Lunsford, Clay County Sheriff Department, Clay County EMS and Clay County Coroner Jim Trosper.
