Death Investigation in Clay County

(LONDON, KY) - On Monday, May 24, 2004 at approximately 6:24 p.m. the Clay County Jail contacted the Clay County EMS in reference to an inmate Harvey Henson age 40 of Garrard, Kentucky was complaining of chest pain. Harvey Henson was being held in the Clay County Detention Center after he was arrested at approximately 5:10 p.m. on two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree by the Clay County Sheriff Department.

Harvey Henson was transported to the Manchester Memorial Hospital where at approximately 7:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead by Clay County Coroner Jim Trosper. Henson reportedly had a history of heart complications in the past. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

Trooper Michelle Lunsford is conducting the investigation.
