Methamphetamine Lab Discovered in Rockcastle County

(Mount Vernon, KY) -  As part of an investigation into the production and distribution of Methamphetamine in Rockcastle County a search warrant was obtained on Sunday, February 29, 2004 for the residence of Tim Harding on Mutt Ponder Road approximately 10 miles north of Mt. Vernon in Rockcastle County.

A search of the residence and property discovered several small working Methamphetamine Labs, products used in the Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Stolen pickup truck and a large amount of cash.

Lisa Witt age 29 of Mt. Vernon was arrested and lodged in the Rockcastle County Jail charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking of Marijuana less than 8 ounces and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Trooper's Ryan Loudermilk and Jason McCowan are conducting the investigation. They were assisted at the scene by Rockcastle County Sheriff Department, Constable Roger Pigg and Detectives from the Kentucky State Police Special Investigation Drug Enforcement East. Further charges and arrest are pending investigation.
