Fugitive Arrested in Pulaski County

(Somerset, KY) - On Saturday, February 14, 2004 Trooper Anthony Phillips stopped a vehicle approximately 1 mile east of Somerset on KY 80 in Pulaski County for expired registration plate.

During the stop Trooper Phillips conducted a license check on the driver Russell L. Creech age 30 of Somerset. It was then determined that Russell Creech was being sought by in Johnson County, Indiana by the Johnson County Sheriff Department for failing to appear in court on December 4, 2003 on a felony Driving Under the Influence charge.

Russell Creech was arrested without incident charged with Fugitive from Justice out of the state of Indiana and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center in Somerset.

Additionally Russell Creech was charged with operating on suspended license, no insurance and expired registration plate. He will remain in the Pulaski County Detention Center pending extradition back to Indiana.

Trooper Phillips is conducting the investigation.
