KSP Request Assistance in Locating Stolen Property

(London, KY) - As part of an on going investigation by Kentucky State Police Special Investigations Detective Bill Riley, Indiana State Police and Sheriff Departments from Indiana an estimate of over $465 thousand dollars in property has been recovered in Laurel and Pulaski Counties.

This property was being sold at the West 80 and Pittsburg Auction Houses in Laurel County. The property, which has been recovered, was reported stolen from Indiana and brought to Kentucky for Auction.

The Kentucky State Police are now asking assistance in locating additional property purchased from Ralph Johnson or others sold at either the West 80 or Pittsburg Auction Houses.

On March 27th 2003 someone identified as bidder number 81 purchased a small black 4-wheeler, John Deer Gator, two scooters (gas and/or electric), and a 18' utility trailer at the Pittsburg Auction House from Ralph Johnson.

Two Honda 4-wheelers were also sold on or about March 27th 2003. Not all property sold at these auctions are stolen, we are asking that if you did purchase items such as those listed to contact Kentucky State Police Special Investigations Detective Bill Riley at 859-293-4544 or 606-878-6622.

No charges will be filed against you if you voluntarily bring property to the Kentucky State Police in London or contact Detective Riley to determine if the property has been stolen.

The investigation is continuing.
