Death Investigation in McCreary County -
UPDATE: Suspect Arrested

(London, KY) - On Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police Detective Billy Correll and Agent Robbie Clark of the Lake Cumberland Drug Task Force arrested Robert Musgrove age 35 of Pine Knot charging him with Murder and Arson 1st.

The arrest was the result of an investigation into the death of Rick Spradlin age 38 of Pine Knot. Spradlin's body was discovered on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at approximately 4:00 a.m. by the Pine Knot Fire Department after extinguishing a fire at the residence of Billy Stephens on Bob Musgrove Road.

Detective Correll and Kentucky State Police Arson Detective Henry Nunn are continuing the investigation. Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force Agent Robbie Clark additionally charged Robert Musgrove with Drug Trafficking. Musgrove was lodged in the McCreary County Jail.

The investigation is continuing.
