Two  KSP Post 1 Officers
Receive Promotions and New Post 1 Assignments

(Hickory, KY) -  The Kentucky State Police announced the promotion of three officers effective June 16 at a special ceremony held at the Central Forensic Laboratory in Frankfort.

Two of those officers are assigned to Post One. Sgt. Nathan Kent was promoted to lieutenant and Detective Kevin Pelphrey was promoted to sergeant.

Lt. Kent, a native of Newburgh, IN., is currently residing in Cadiz, KY. with his wife Michelle and their two children. Lt. Kent is an eight-year veteran of the Kentucky State Police.

Lt. Kent will remain assigned to Post One in a new position as Detective Lieutenant with his promotion.

Sgt. Pelphrey, a native of Keaton, KY., is currently residing in Salem, KY, with his wife Jennifer and their three children. Sgt. Pelphrey is a nine-and-a-half year veteran of the Kentucky State Police.

Sgt. Pelphrey  will remain assigned to Post One with his promotion as a squad sergeant for Graves, Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton and Hickman Counties.
