KSP Post 6 Commander
Kentucky State Police Post 6 located in Dry Ridge is under the command of Captain Anthony B. Taulbee. Captain Taulbee received his KSP commission in July of 1999 and was appointed Post 6 commander in November of 2013.
KSP Promotes Virgie Resident
(Dry Ridge, KY) - Virgie resident Capt. Anthony B. Taulbee received his promotion certificate from Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary J. Michael Brown and Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer in Frankfort on Dec. 9. A 15-year veteran of the agency, Taulbee serves as commander of KSP Post 6 in Dry Ridge. A 1994 graduate of Magoffin Co. High School and he attended Morehead State University. Captain Taulbee is the son of Ernest and June Taulbee of Salyersville, he is married to Melanie and they have a son Brayden (10)
KSP Promotes Virgie Resident
(Dry Ridge, KY) - Petersburg resident Lt. Rick Saint-Blancard received his promotion certificate from Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary J. Michael Brown and Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer in Frankfort on Dec. 9. An eight and a half (8.6) year veteran of the agency, Saint-Blancard is assigned to KSP Post 6 in Dry Ridge. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he obtained a Bachelors in Arts and Science. In 2002, he earned a Masters Degree in International Business Administration from Alliant International University in San Diego, Ca. He is married to Carol and has three sons: Richard (26), Ryan (23) and Jacob (21).

KSP Post 6 Welcomes New Troopers
(Dry Ridge, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police Post 6 welcomed six (6) new Troopers to the Post district. The new troopers are part of the agency's 91st cadet class. They started a 23-week training cycle on June 9, 2013 in a class that consisted of 87 cadets. Twenty-five resigned during the weeks of mental and physical challenges. Several members of the class earned special recognitions including valedictorian Corey Rich, of Williamstown, Ky. The training included more than 1,000 hours of classroom and field study in subjects such as constitutional law, juvenile and traffic law, use of force, weapons training, defensive tactics, first aid, high speed vehicle pursuit, criminal investigation, computer literacy, hostage negotiations, evidence collection, radio procedures, search and seizure, crash investigation, drug identification, traffic control, crowd control, armed robbery response, land navigation, electronic crimes, sex crimes, hate crimes, domestic violence, bomb threats and hazardous materials.
